The singer paints her face to mimic the cover of her new single Applause after it was rush-released yesterday

Never one to let an advertising opportunity pass her by (or any opportunity for that matter), singer Lady Gaga was snapped yesterday with her face painted in a pop art style that echoed the cover art of her new single Applause.
She was seen wandering casually around West Hollywood with the face art after her single was rushed out after it was leaked on the internet.

Yesterday afternoon Gaga tweeted, ""A POP MUSIC EMERGENCY IS UNDERWAY
911" on Twitter. Quickly followed by: "911 SUMMON THE MONSTER TROUPES"
[sic]. Then "HERE IS A PHOTO TO ACCOMPANY THIS EMERGENCY" with the
promotional topless snap below attached. This what is professionally known as a hair bra

She then explained, "DUE TO HACKERS AN ABUNDANCE OF LOW/HIGH QUALITY
LEAKS...WE ISSUE THIS POP MUSIC EMERGENCY...MONSTERS SPREAD THE WORD. MY

She then wrote "IM ON THE RADIO I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! IT FEELS LIKE THE
FIRST TIME! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR *APPLAUSE* WE ARE SO HAPPY YOU
LOVE IT."
She then directed people to download the song on iTunes.

The most notable thing about the face-paint pictures isn't
actually her face, but the fact she isn't naked. We haven't seen her
with this many clothes on for what feels like years.
Before this stunt she was seen in bra and teeny tiny shorts. She could have had her face painted up as a tiger and no one would have noticed.
