Tropical Storm Andrea is headed toward the Carolinas and should arrive before sunrise, according to the National Weather Service in Melbourne.
In Central Florida, meteorologists are expecting a partly sunny day with a high near 92 and a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms tonight with a low around 74.
"We're going to get back into the afternoon and evening showers from now into the middle of next week," said Matt Bragaw, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service.
Tornado watches were canceled about 7 p.m. for Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Lake, Volusia and Brevard counties — three hours earlier than the National Weather Service originally anticipated. Ten watches and warnings were issued in total for Central Florida.
"It is possible one dropped in an unpopulated area and didn't do much damage," Bragaw said. "But we haven't had confirmation of any in Central Florida."
